This morning we received at our facilities in Pravia the visit of D. Ignacio Villaverde, His Excellency Rector of the University of Oviedo and Rosa Gutiérrez, the chief of staff, holding a meeting with part of the ebroker management team: Higinio Iglesias, CEO, Rafael Álvarez, CCOO and CFO, Saúl González, CTO, Pedro Ramos, Director of Project Engineering and Nuria Alfaro, Director of Marketing and Communication, to strengthen relations and share the strategies and projects that both institutions are developing collaboratively with the purpose of bringing the university closer to the world of business and talent to the sector.
In November 2020 we began our relationship by giving several conferences at conferences held at the School of Computer Engineering, and participating as speakers in the acts derived from the celebration of the Employment and Entrepreneurship in Humanities Fair organized by the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, in our goal of attracting multidisciplinary profiles that bring different skills, points of view and capabilities to the business world.
One of the actions in which the agreement has materialized is the creation of the University Specialist Degree in Data Science Applied to the Insurance Activity, which is already implemented in the next academic year 2022/2023 and whose classes will start in September.
The title, with which we seek to provide essential knowledge and training that makes it possible to make real use of new technologies around the world of data applied to insurance activity, will be taught during executive hours and in a hybrid format, to guarantee that students can access a combination of academic and practical knowledge of this new technological context while carrying out their professional activity.
The visit signs the agreement and the beginning of a close collaboration and promising projects between the renowned academic institution and our entity.
