The ebroker platform has inaugurated this Wednesday the "ebroker technology classroom" in the Reina Adosinda de Pravia School, a computer room in which a set of equipment has been installed that the technology company has ceded for the exclusive use of the educational institution and which is already available to students.
This ebroker action, which last June reached a collaboration agreement with the school, it falls within its framework of Sustainable Development Goals, and for which, through its technological capacity, it will carry out a series of actions that help promote the acquisition of knowledge and training in the educational field. An initiative of the platform as a formula for the progress and development of the community in the context of the new digital society, facilitating a collaborative environment between the educational institution and the company.
Present at the event were Emilia García, president of the Colegio San Luis Asturian Cooperative Society, and Ignacio Álvarez, academic director for the educational institution; Higinio Iglesias, CEO of ebroker on behalf of the technology company and David Álvarez, mayor of Pravia as institutional representative; as well as different local and regional media that have covered the event.
Points in common and collaboration between institutions
Emilia García, president of the Colegio San Luis Asturian Cooperative Society, highlighted in her speech that "A priori, one can think that a technology company and a school do not have something in common, but they do, the first and most important thing is that they are based in Pravia, both companies promote employment in the town and with it fight against the depopulation of rural areas, which is an important objective”, further added that "What a school wants is to train people who are capable of integrating into the world of work and ebroker is committed to a job for young people, which is another important point."
The mayor of Pravia, David Álvarez, stressed that "This area of public-private collaboration that we consider very important is based on two very important foci, one in which the administration is the one that normally contributes resources to sectors such as agriculture, fishing, livestock..., and another is that in which private companies decide to put part of their resources for a public purpose for the benefit of society as a whole, and in this sense, ebroker has been very successful in the approach of benefiting the whole of Pravian society with its resources”. Higinio Iglesias, CEO of ebroker, explained that “Companies have a social responsibility. The academic director of the institution, Ignacio Álvarez, highlighted that “This agreement is very important and necessary from an educational point of view, it will allow the school to be equipped with computers for a second computer room in the secondary stage, which was very necessary and which was also a priority objective within our plan digitization”. He also added that "This agreement will allow us to take advantage of a resource in our environment such as ebroker, a technological benchmark here in Pravia".
The creation of the ebroker Classroom has the objective of contributing positively to the development of quality education in small population centers and transmitting to students the real and palpable capacity to establish and develop technological solutions that add value from Pravia to the rest of the world, increasing the possibilities and opportunities for growth in a technological and innovative sector.
ebroker has also made technical personnel available to the school to give two talks-conferences annually with the purpose of disseminating, within the educational community, the relevant role of technology and its industry in society. In addition, visits to the ebroker Center will be organized with the students of the school so that they can learn about the daily activity in technology and a mixed commission made up of representatives of both parties will be set up, which by mutual agreement will meet at least once a year to facilitate monitoring. of collaboration.
