ebroker and University of Oviedo have signed a research agreement through which they reinforce their cooperation for the development and promotion of data analytics architectures and models that add value to the insurance sector.

The agreement, signed on February 6 between Antonio Manuel Fueyo, Vice Chancellor for Research at the University of Oviedo, and Higinio Iglesias, CEO of ebroker, aims to carry out research on the "Development and transfer of data science techniques for the insurance activity”, the same in which specialists from the ebroker Data Analytics area and the research team belonging to the Department of Business Administration of the educational institution participate, with Manuel Luna García at the helm.

Both teams, together with the ebroker Management Committee, are already analyzing the available information provided by the platform with the aim of establishing, through its use, greater possibilities of generating value in the business of insurance brokers, promoting the development of models that facilitate a robust architecture on which the data is based and that cover the current and future needs of companies.

For Iván Buceta, CDO & CIO of ebroker, “Working day by day with a specific research team from the University of Oviedo specialized in data science, will allow ebroker to go one step further in our purpose of making the power of data available to the insurance broker.".

This joint research has been projected to be carried out in three stages, which have been designed to achieve the objective of developing different technical implementations in data science that help insurance brokers in their professional activity.
